Day 14
Hey y'all, coming to you from Fort Worth, TX on this actually not-so-hot evening (thank goodness), July 25th. Today was a
day filled with fun!
Got up very early this morning (well, 8am, which is pretty early for me), got ready, and headed out to the UFO Museum and
Research Center in Roswell - it was AWeEESSOOMEEE. In the daytime you realize even more how everything in Roswell is just
aliens/UFO/paranormal. The street lamps are alien heads, UFOs on all the buildings, all the cafes have alien somewhere in
the title, its crazy and/or awesome. :)
Anyway, the museum was right down the street from the hotel, here is a shot from the outside.

Inside was exactly how I imagined it, newspaper clippings lining the walls documenting the Roswell incident, pictures of UFO
sightings, alien autopsy data, personal testimonies, declassified government documents - basically a conspiracists wet dream,
it was great. Here are some random shots from inside.

Initial reports directly after the crash from newspapers all over the US.

Maps of the impact sites and proximites to the towns of Corona and Roswell.

The table of contents of the famous MAJESTIC-12 documents (the rest of the documents were posted to the right, it was great
to see them like this - they're available all over the web, but its always cool to see photocopies of the originals.)

Some snapshots of various UFO sightings from around the globe. Some of them look pretty cheesy, others look like they could
be something, whether extra terrestrial or not, I can't say.

This was a part of a mock-up of the post-crash autopsy scenario that was used on the set of the "Roswell" movie. It was
pretty neat, they had it behind glass.
Anyway, we stopped in the gift shop and I got a bunch of stuff, including a welcome mat for my house that has a picture of a
typical "Grey" alien head with "Earthlings Welcome" printed next to it. Also some magnets and an Area 51 mug, its sweet.
:D
We stopped by a large Walmart (that coincidentally had a UFO painted on the outside) and picked up some food, and started out
towards Fort Worth. It was a long drive from Roswell to Fort Worth, about 8.5-9 hours, but eventually we made it to Mysti's
house. Dave waited outside so we could find the place, we all met up and headed over to the bowling alley for some fun-fun
bowling action!
The star of the show was definitely Brandon, this guy is just a freaking cute kid.

(Had to Gamma correct this picture). Brandon was pretty happy to be beating us all severely.

Dave giving the little guy some help getting the ball down the alley. We had a small issue with the ball stopping in the
middle at one point, but we got a helping push from a friendly employee. ;)

The kid was on fire!

Then Brandon got a little tired of playing and Mysti decided to enter the butter zone and kick all of our butts.

Just a really awesome shot of Mysti and Brandon.
We ate some tasty food, I had some MAD tasty chicken and gravy, then we finished up our game and headed out. we headed back
to the house and Mysti pointed out some cool points where she grew up and what not. Unfortunately it was pretty late and we
were exhausted from driving, but it was awesome to see Mysti, Dave and Brandon again, and we had a great time. we'll have to
meetup again soon, whether in TX or NH. :)
Well - off to Texarcana tomorrow to pick up some Coors for the Smokey and the Bandit run to Atlanta! See y'all then!
